Nomination process

Procedure for nomination and appointment

Future Leaders are nominated by ARMA Members. An independent selection committee consisting of current Future Leaders chooses the next class, and the Board of Directors ratifies the selection. Please see the Future Leader Handbook for required nomination material, selection criteria, and procedures. Self-nomination is acceptable. Nominations received by December 1 are considered for the same year.

Early Career Award

The Early Career Award is an annual ARMA award to acknowledge excellence in the field of Rock Mechanics / Geomechanics for ARMA members in early stages of their career, who have demonstrated contributions on topics of importance to the state-of-practice or state-of-science. The speaker is selected by current Future Leaders. The award consists of an invitation to deliver the Early Career Keynote during the annual symposium and a waiver of conference registration fees. Nominees must be active ARMA members at the time of nomination. Please see the Future Leader Handbook (Parts E & F) for more information about the Early Career Keynote and award.
